Your Privacy Matters

SaveMyTools is designed with your privacy as a priority. We believe your tool inventory and personal information should stay exactly where it belongs — on your device, under your control.

What Data We Collect

Short answer: none.

SaveMyTools does not collect, transmit, or store your data on our servers. All information you add is stored locally on your device, including:

• Tool details (names, serial numbers, prices)
• Photos you take or add
• Insurance policy information
• Storage logs and notes

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

Data Security

SaveMyTools stores your inventory data locally on your device. The app’s database is encrypted using SQLCipher (AES-256). If you enable App Lock, access to the app can also be protected with your device’s fingerprint, face recognition, or PIN (where supported). SaveMyTools does not store biometric data.
Exports you create (such as PDFs) may be stored outside the encrypted database depending on where you save or share them.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with third parties. SaveMyTools does not use your data for advertising.

No Accounts Required

SaveMyTools does not require an account. We do not collect usernames, passwords, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other account details to use the app.

No Cloud Storage

SaveMyTools does not upload your information to cloud servers. There is no sync feature, no backup to our servers, and no way for us to access your tool inventory or files.

No Tracking or Analytics

SaveMyTools does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not monitor your activity in the app.

Permissions We Use

SaveMyTools may request the following permissions to provide core features:

• Camera (optional): lets you photograph tools and attach images to your inventory.

• Photos/Media or Storage (optional): lets you add existing photos and save images/files on your device.

• Notifications (optional): lets you receive reminders (for example, to log overnight tool storage). Notifications are created locally and are not used for advertising or tracking.

• App Lock (optional): you can secure the app using fingerprint, face recognition, or your device PIN (where supported). Authentication is handled by your device.

You can deny optional permissions, but related features may not work.

Exporting and Sharing

If you export data, generate a claim pack PDF, or share tool information, the app generates files locally on your device. You decide if, when, and how to share them. We do not receive a copy and have no visibility into what you export or who you share it with.

In-App Purchases

If you purchase SaveMyTools Pro, the transaction is handled by Google Play. We receive confirmation of your purchase status, but we do not receive your payment details.

Data Deletion

You can delete all app data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete All Data. This permanently removes tools, photos, and settings from your device. Since we do not store your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

Children’s Privacy

SaveMyTools is intended for tradespeople and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will publish the updated version on this page and may include it in an app update. We will never change our core commitment: your data stays on your device.
